BYOC's description:
This pedal will forever be associated with Jimi Hendrix. And rightly so. But it's more than just a novelty item to be used only when doing your rendition of Purple Haze. This is a very cool fuzz.
If you're looking for that nasty, over the top, complete sonic annihilation that only a thick fuzz can provide, then this might be what you're after. And unlike a lot of fuzzes where you need to run the "fuzz knob" at full turn and use your guitar volume to control the amount of gain, the "intensity" knob on this pedal is actually quite useful. It won't give you any creamy overdrive tones, but can certainly get some nice gritty low gain grind. And if the octave isn't your thing, it can easily be done away with simply by removing one diode.
General info about a BYOC building kit:
The kits include all the parts yo need to build the pedal. The only thing you need in addition is a soldering iron and some paitence. The building process is precisely documented with step-by-step explanations. The instructions can be downloaded from the BYOC net page. For this pedal, the instructions are found here. Video instructions can also be found here.
If you need inspiration, it might be smart to check out the gallery of pedals that were built using a BYOC kit.
Godlyd.com can not offer any assitance if you have problems in the building process but you usually will find good help and answers via the BYOC forum.
